New Year’s Travel Resolutions

Whether in South Dakota or Florida, few will disagree that a vacation to the beach is always a good idea, filled with beauty, relaxation, and fun. But with so many beaches scattered throughout the world, how do you ever decide on which one you should visit? Ranging from white sandy beaches, to rocky beaches, there’s sure to be a beach perfect to suit your desires, and with a little research you’re sure to find it.

Cozumel averages 350 days a year of sunshine and the water is 80 degrees or above year round. Underwater visibility is 150 to 250 ft all the time. Cozumel just happens to sit in natural ebb n flow of the ocean making ideal conditions to keep the water clean, while providing nutrients that the coral feed on and even a better place to don your snorkel gear to enjoy the beauty of it all. Since the water is crystal clear the sunlight penetrates deeper, this allows for the coral to grow at much deeper depths. Not to mention all the species of fish that live therein. These coral play host to over 500 species of fish. And if that isn’t enough a large part of the ancient Mesoamerican barrier reef lies just off the shore of Cozumel. All this makes for some of the best snorkeling one can find.

Focus on re-building your life: Resentment is not practical it’s a negative fantasy. Focus on the practical things you need to do and think. Get your emotional, personal and financial life together as soon as you can. Think about all the things you’ve been freed up to do, and do some of them. Try things you would never have done before, or things you’ve always wanted to do. It’s been said that living well is the best revenge. Use the energy from your anger and grief, and channel them into doing things just for you. Try out for the play at the local theater, take dancing lessons or an art class, learn to st lucia scuba, get a pet, or plant a garden. Develop a support group for people with a similar problem. All of those things will keep you focused on the present and the future, instead of the past.

We called the corsetiere and she came over and measured me. Measuring was a fairly lengthy process and had me sitting and standing, and answering all sorts of questions about my style of dress and even my lifestyle. I was measured for an under bust, tightlacing, training corset. It would be a basic hour glass with slight wasp waist, in that my upper ribs would be brought in slightly! I was told that this created a pleasing line as opposed to a straight hour glass which could look like a tight belt was drawn around a waist. I was sold… I bought a few pairs of wonderful stockings, some panties, I paid a deposit and left the store. I was a little nervous and a little excited, all at once. Really I couldn’t wait to try this garment, a garment with such a derisive history.

SO for the next 5-10 years you will be working DAMNED hard to establish it, with all the struggles and set-backs of any SME except with the added risk and dangers of doing it in a foreign country. EEEK!. Mostly not what people are looking for in their “dream life on an island”. All too common though…

Australia Zoo at Beerwah: the zoo that celebrates Steve Irwin’s legacy. You don’t have to be a wildlife warrior to enjoy this fabulous experience, with over1,000 native and exotic animals.

Last but never least, The Gold Coast: 50 miles south east of Brisbane. It’s bright and brash, colourful and lively, a full on beach holiday experience. Think Florida with that unique Aussie touch. Famed for its consistent weather and days filled with sunshine, you’ll find plenty of beach and natural attractions, with a glittering night life.
