There are three kinds of steel foundries in China. One is the sand casting foundries, then the water glass investment steel casting workshops, and the silica sol investment steel casting workshops. We usually called the investment casting as precision casting process.
First the general shape of the model is produce in wax. Then a fire is used to heat a smooth metal file. The heated file is then moved up and down the wax piece to shaped the details of the model. In larger piece are done separately to maintain the integrity of the piece in the heat of India.
But here’s the thing. Observing David only from the rear casts aside an important part of the story. You can’t tell from the back that the boy-warrior is readying to do battle. You see only an uncertain gesture, perhaps even slightly cowering, which makes his effort – made apparent solely in the front – all the more valiant. Bypassing the front, you miss the easy stance, as if David were waiting for a bus, which belies his qualms about battling Goliath. You miss the seeming calm as he faced Goliath, furtively palming a stone in one hand and the sling for it flung ever so casually over his shoulder.
Lost Wax – Also called lost-fusione a cera persa or lost mould. A model is carved out of wax then a gypsum plaster cast is fashioned around the wax. The beeswax is then dissolved and the lingering shape can be loaded with hot glass and finished in a kiln.

The next step is gating. The fiberglass and rubber molds are gently removed from the wax mold, leaving an exact wax replica of the clay sculpture. Wax rods, called gates, are attached to the sculpture. These gates will create channels in the final mold, which allows for the molten bronze to be poured into the mold.
White dots may appear on your bronze statue as well. This is due to leftover ceramic material from casting. Just use paste wax, or Kiwi wax, to remove the spots. Recommended types of paste waxes are natural or non-abrasive. Do not use automobile wax on a bronze statue or fountain.
So, really, why settle for gold or silver, when you can have a piece of art, sculpture, toy, candlestick, wine stopper, or figure crafted by bronze experts. When you own a cast bronze sculpture you know the expertise, craftsmanship and artistic talent that went into creating it. So go for the bronze!
