Sustainable Energy And Its Relevance

There’s a lot of talk right now in the fashion design world about green being the new black. But when it comes to knowing what really makes a garment environmentally friendly, people are a little, excuse the expression, green behind the ears. So what is sustainable fashion, and how can you build a wardrobe that’s truly green? While some might think that eco-friendly fashion just means clothing made with organic cotton or recycled yarns, there are many ways to have a green wardrobe – some simple, and some more complicated.

The salt deposits are a naturally occurring formation below the Earth’s surface. The deposits are located only in certain areas throughout the world. These deposits are also where the world gets its potash; a key ingredient in fertilizer. The salt deposits are found in two forms: salt beds, or salt domes. Salt beds are more prominent and consist of a thinner layer of salt. They are usually not as dense as a salt dome nor as deep, for these reasons salt beds are less popular than salt domes for salt cavern construction. Salt domes are more sought after for they are much thicker and extremely deep, sometimes to 25ft high by a half mile wide, or more.

hydropower is the massive production of electricity through the conversion of kinetic energy in water into electricity. This is typically undertaken in the form of a dam on a river. Water is held back by the dam and then fed in a controlled manner through it. On its way, the water spins turbines that crank generators and produce electricity. Famous projects include Hoover Dam in the United States, Nasser Dam in Egypt and the new Three Gorges Dam in China.

The next frontier is Water Turbines. These are similar to wind turbines and are placed in the water currents. The current spins the turbine to produce electricity. This technology dates back to the Romans. Nova Scotia has a turbine producing 20 MW since 1984. La Rance barrage in Normandy puts out 240 MW and was installed in 1966. In 2007 New York City tried installing turbines in the Hudson river. The current was so strong it was snapping the 20 foot blades. In 2010 using what they have learned a new project is under way to install 30 underwater turbines in the East river between Queens and Roosevelt Island. The completion will be sometime in 2011 if all goes according to schedule.

The research and developments are already being done and are on the way. The aim is to get a real solution for this proven technology. The power supplier and its complete success will mean the remarkable step have been taken towards protecting the environment.

Investors need to analyze carefully this market before investing. Different websites with current Green profiles, information about products, necessary summaries should be well searched through. Plus, pay attention to the stocks of renewable stocks.

The area where you are living, will have a great deal to say about the types of renewable energy that are available to you. The renewable energy process is a growing technology and as better ideas and methods are put into practice, the more renewable energy sources will become available to us all.
