True, a self-published book never dies, gets remaindered, or goes out of print, but it also does not get the widespread distribution that a book published by mainstream gets. And even if you are published with mainstream, you would do well to “toot your own horn” and promote your own book. But as the author/publisher, you have to wear all the hats.
More importantly, a quality dofollow blog subscription service will monitor the comments made and prohibit auto-commenting with software. Violators are removed from the membership. This oversight maintains the integrity of the comments and increase the chances the blogs retain dofollow commenting.
