Do you have an old junk car that you want to get rid of? Great! That means its time to find a company to come and tow away that old rig. Your probably thinking “Awesome, I’ll just call the first guy I come across!”, but I’m here to tell you “watch out!” You don’t want to just go ahead and call any old schmoe that you find on Craigslist. When hydrogen is added to the fuel air mixture in a car engine, the engine will burn the gasoline more effectively. The reason is that hydrogen is more flammable than gasoline. This gives the engine a better efficiency and a better burn. This is a benefit to you and the environment at the same time.
Vans are often used for work requirements and as a result transport a range of technical goods, tools and equipment. These items are often valuable and easily sold on by criminals. To avoid property being stolen from your van ensure all valuable items such as tools are removed from the van overnight.
Breathe in… breathe out. What goes into your car must go out, and old adage is certainly true when we talk about gases. The stock Evo exhaust system can be a little restrictive and money spent on a cat-back exhaust system (that is, one running from the catalytic converter price guide back to the muffler) will result in a much more powerful sound coming from your car as well as an increase in performance. I would go one step further and recommend that, if you can, you should replace the catalytic converter with a straight pipe, which is exactly what it sounds like. I should note though that this modification may be illegal in your country, and I would recommend checking with the local authorities before removing the catalytic converter. It could also cause you to fail the emissions test in your country.
Now having lived in California my whole 62 years, this came as no big surprise. Keeping my vehicle in good working order I was not worried until I read an article in Automotive Industries Motor Magazine (Dec. 2008 Dirveability Corner, by Mark Warren). In this article he related that most new vehicle’s have three converters and went on to state, if a scrap catalytic converter is damaged by contamination, it’s obvious that the one in front will be poisoned first. Monitoring closer to the front will detect degradation more easily. No doubt you have seen converters with an 02 sensor in the middle.
What did they sort out? You won’t believe it! Keep conception and I’ll tell you how they prevented you and me from enjoying distinguished mileage vehicles, and how they aspire to sort out it again – BUT CAN’T!
You have to cut the tube on either sides of the converter. Use the reciprocating saw as well as the metal blades. Leave an allowance of 2 inches of tubing on the ends of the converter for the needed spacing. Allow the catalytic converter to fall by its own self but make sure you are not underneath it when it falls.
